Beauty Products with Anti-Depressant Properties

I was surprised to find out that there is a range of beauty products that promises to help you fight off those blues. French company Arthes claims that products from their Smiley range have some anti-depressant properties. Smiley beauty range includes shampoo, body gel, deodorant, perfume etc.

So how exactly do these products make you happy? They are infused with “psycho-stimulant cocktail” as the manufacturer puts it. This happy cocktail ingredients include theobromine (said to blocks stress and induce feelings of pleasure) and phenylethylamine (has antidepressant qualities and makes chocolate so desirable!). The formula is based on natural bio-chemistry and the essential compounds are derived from pure cocoa extract.

Do these Smiley products work? Have no idea. But that music therapy on their Happy Therapy site did bring up my mood!

Tara Reid is all smiles with her bag of Smiley products!
